DIA Information The Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority TDIA was created by a special act of the Florida Legislature in 1971 as a special taxing district whose mission is to create a vital 18-hour downtown. An eleven-member Board of Directors governs the Authority. The members are appointed by the Mayor. The activities of the DIA include:
Downtown Tallahassee is Florida's hometown downtown to the Florida legislature. Florida's downtown is for citizens seeking access to their government and attracts thousands of tourists and guests each year. It is also the host to Florida Government Agencies that serve citizens statewide. |
